In a small bowl, sprinkle couscous with warm water and leave for 5 minutes to soak. Put a strainer over a pot half filled with boiling water - water should not touch strainer. Sprinkle soaked couscous inside strainer, cover, and bring to boil. Cook until steam escapes freely from the couscous - about 15 minutes. Empty couscous into a bowl again and rub by hand or stir vigorously with a wooden spoon to mix and also separate grains. Sprinkle into a strainer again and cook once more as before for another 10 minutes. Couscous will swell to double the amount. Pour into a bowl again and stir in butter to keep grains separated.
Serve warm.
